NEW FEATURES
* The old man now appears much more often to those due for a mission
BUG FIXES
* Old Man did not appear for older missions as the character level progressed.
The old man now visits for old missions more regularly! Sorry about not
picking this one up earlier folks. :(
* Some Error#5 messages were found to be due to Desqview changing the
interrupt calls and has been fixed. Please report all future errors so
that I can erradicate them.
* Henchmen can no longer be sent after yourself
* There were far too many random treasure chests appearing - this has been
reduced.

NEW FEATURES
* Army battle algorithm has been changed
* Asmodeus too easy to kill with the Ring of Fire. He, and other monsters,
now attempt to heal earlier in combat
BUG FIXES
* Ring of Fire did not deplete if the monster was killed. This has been
fixed
* Thieves experience sunrise again :)
* Knights were not receiving their full army command bonus
* Fixed error produced when setting the castle flag to a numeric design
* Removed the ability to cheat in the castle treasury

NEW FEATURES
* A new * Magic Item * can now be claimed before level 16
* Players no longer lose their possessions when they die unless they
are slain by another player
* Magic points now regenerate a little faster
* Knights now inflict more damage
* Thieves and Wizards can no longer purchase items they cannot use
* Dragons lairs are slightly more difficult to find
* Added instructions to startup menu
* More information has been added to the instructions
* The reef around Mephistopheles dungeon now has a break in it for safe
passage
* The turns bonus for theives now depends on the level of the thief - the
bonus is (1+level/20) times that of the other classes
* NPC's are no longer encountered at sea
* Dragons use their flames less often
* Towns and Cities have no limit on army purchases
* ANSI device driver now used to quickly display ansi pictures (ANSI.SYS
or compatible driver required) for local display
BUG FIXES
* Bug has been fixed where the NPC thieves and wizards were doing more
damage than normal characters
* Thieves were backstabbing several times during combat - they now do it
only on their first attack, as originally intended
* Trailing backslash, when using the /p switch to set the path, now added
automatically if omitted

NEW FEATURES
* Messaging system vastly improved - 20 line messages can be entered for
both users on the system and inter-bbs players
* Inter-BBS messages can now be sent to "entire" systems
* Tax Collectors are now level 13 and nastier!
* Arrowbridge can now support an unlimited amount of nodes using a
/P[path] parameter in conjunction with the /NODE switch (where the
[path]=full path to the drop file) - See sysop.doc for more info
* Rangers can no longer use a God shield (this is far too heavy) :(
* Rangers can now cast cure spells :)
* Stormy weather no longer slows the game
* Drinking at the bar is much cheaper
* Visitations by the old man are now more frequent
* Castle army bonus has been reduced to +10%
* The army battle routine now uses a new algorithm
* Special missions are now shown in the player statistics
* Assassins and destructors cost much less
* German translation added to the town hints

* The map now loads * INSTANTLY *, ie. the delays have been removed
* Diagonal movement during combat for both the adventurer and monsters
* Gems can be found in fountains
* Armour is now far more effective
* Thieves now have twice as many moves as other classes
* Thieves can now use swords
* Thieves get an extra combat round
* Potions now relieve poison and heal 70-90hp regardless of player level
* Fountains heal the player to full health
* New player intro message to provide guidance when a new player begins
* New players now start with 5 torches and 2 potions
* Frigates can now be purchased in the unregistered version
* Help screen added for combat commands
* Projectiles miss less often
* Combat at sea is now more realistic
* Dungeon fountains are no longer poisonous

* Inter-BBS messaging introduced
* Bank loans are no longer available to level 1 characters (to reduce
cheating)
* Bank account transfers are not permitted for overdrawn accounts
* Potions heal 40-60 hp regardless of level
* Castle henchmen are cheaper
* The weather changes more often
* The number of monsters has been restricted for lower level characters
* Only higher level monsters will tend to align themselves to fire
projectiles

* Players are no longer visible on the surface when they sleep underground

* Inter-BBS assassins are cheaper

* Time used per day saved instead of time remaining - gives player full
complement of time per day regardless of system events

* Assassins strike more often when hp's are low
* Inter-bbs assassins now report victory/failures via messages

BUG FIXES
* Monsters were NOT hitting fairly. A bug was discovered whereby a level
15 monster against a level 1 character (with no armour) would only hit
the character once every six attempts. This has now been fixed - beware!
* Security sometimes not added to mail packets when ABTOOLS OUTBOUND is
run more than once per day has been fixed
* The dragon does not disappear if you run from him when in his lair
* Magic points will never drop below zero
* No more errors when operating in 50 line mode
* All compass co-ordinates have shifted one position
